Travel + Leisure readers have voted Green Airport (PVD) one of the best in the country for a second consecutive year.

“Getting you to and from your destination on time,” writes Katrina Brown Hunt of Travel + Leisure, “Providence Reigns in the on-time category.”

Ranking 5th overall in the airport category, Green ranks first in on-time performance and first in staff efficiency, and second in functional design.

The airport is the highest ranking medium size airport. In 2009, Travel + Leisure’s readership voted Green as one of the country’s best airports, number 6 overall.

“We are proud to again be recognized by Travel + Leisure readers for our commitment to ease of access and the customer experience,” said Kevin Dillon, President & CEO, Rhode Island Airport Corporation. “Our convenient parking options, streamlined operations and enhanced dining and shopping selection all make for a pleasant curb to gate experience.”

Travelers will soon have yet another reason to use Green Airport with the opening of the InterLink- the airport’s new transportation hub that will connect passengers from “train to plane” as well as consolidating our rental car services and Intercity transit.
