Top Domestic Airport Survey rates PVD as “miles better than flying through Boston.”

 WARWICK, RI – Thursday, July 9, 2020 – The Rhode Island Airport Corporation is proud to announce that T.F. Green Airport is among the Top Domestic Airports in the Travel + Leisure 2020 World’s Best Awards readers’ survey.  This is the latest award of excellence for T.F. Green Airport within the travel industry, coming just months after T.F. Green Airport’s recognition as the 2nd Best Small Airport in the nation in USA Today’s “Ten Best” Readers’ Choice Awards for 2020.

In ranking T.F. Green Airport No. 5 on the Travel + Leisure 2020 World’s Best Awards list of the Top Domestic Airports, readers affirmed T.F. Green Airport, located in Warwick RI, just south of the capitol city of Providence, as “a terrific alternative to Boston Logan International.” According to one Travel + Leisure survey respondent, T.F. Green Airport is “Miles better than flying through Boston.” 

Travel + Leisure’s World’s Best is one of the most prestigious recognitions in the travel and hospitality industry. Airports are rated in 5 categories: Access, check-in/security, restaurants/bars, shopping, and design. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) estimates that T.F. Green Airport’s direct economic impact to Rhode Island to be valued at $566,116,062, supporting 4,675 jobs in the state.  The FAA also estimates T.F. Green’s indirect economic impact for Rhode Island at $1,665,633,579, supporting a total of 14,203 jobs through activities at the state’s only commercial airport.About T.F.
