T.F. Green Airport announces Nantucket route

Warwick, RI – The Rhode Island Airport Corporation (RIAC) announced a new airline today – Southern Airways Express – that will begin offering service to Nantucket in June.


“We have every reason to believe T.F. Green is the perfect access point for those looking to get to Nantucket quickly and hassle free and we are very pleased to announce Southern Airways Express as our newest airline partner,” said Iftikhar Ahmad, president and CEO of the Rhode Island Airport Corporation.
“We are excited about entering this market and believe T.F. Green will be a convenient gateway for New Englanders and travelers throughout the country to get to one of the region’s best summer destinations,” said Mark Cestari, chief commercial officer, Southern Airways Corporation.


“On behalf of the board, we welcome Southern Airways Express to Rhode Island. We would encourage all Rhode Islanders and regional travelers to take advantage of the new routes announced this week,” said Jonathan Savage, chair of RIAC’s Board of Directors.


Service will begin from Providence on June 13th and will continue through October 14. Flights will operate daily, except Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with fares beginning at $179 each way. Tickets are on sale now.
