SUN COUNTRY AIRLINES RESUMES SEASONAL SERVICE AT T.F. GREEN AIRPORT

Service between PVD and MSP begins June 25, 2020

WARWICK, RI – June 25, 2020 – The Rhode Island Airport Corporation (RIAC) is pleased to announce that Sun Country Airlines is resuming seasonal service at T.F. Green Airport (PVD) on Thursday, June 25, 2020.  The airline is now in its second season at PVD providing service to Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP).

Sun Country Airlines is the only airline that connects Rhode Island to Minnesota, which is home to many large corporate headquarters and a thriving culture and arts scene.  Minneapolis-Saint Paul is also Sun Country Airlines’ home base, which means travelers have many opportunities for quick connections to additional locations from Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport. Flights are scheduled 4 days a week, on Monday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday on B-737-800 aircraft with 186 seats.  Flights from PVD will depart at 12:00 p.m. and arrive at MSP at 1:58 p.m.  Returning flights from MSP depart at 7:15 a.m and arrive in PVD at 11:00 a.m.  Fights are currently available for booking through the end of November, 2020.

Both Sun Country Airlines and T.F. Green Airport continue to take additional steps to ensure the health and safety of travelers.  T.F. Green Airport cleaning crews continue enhanced sanitizing protocols, utilizing EPA and CDC approved hospital grade disinfectants, electrostatic sprayers, and automated cleaning technology to efficiently and effectively sanitize escalator railings and other high touch areas throughout the terminal. Passengers are also being encouraged to check with individual airline policies regarding COVID-19 policies, including facemask requirements.
