SOUTHWEST ANNOUNCES NEW DALLAS AND DENVER NONSTOP ROUTES FROM RHODE ISLAND T. F. GREEN INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

Service to DAL and DEN to launch Summer 2024

Warwick, RI – October 27, 2023 – The Rhode Island Airport Corporation today welcomed the news that Southwest Airlines will offer two new nonstop routes at Rhode Island T. F. Green International Airport (PVD). The new seasonal routes, which will begin in June of 2024, include Saturday service to Dallas (DAL/Love Field) as well as Saturday and Sunday service to Denver (DEN – Denver International Airport).

“This is wonderful news,” said Iftikhar Ahmad. President and CEO of the Rhode Island Airport Corporation.  “Southwest has been a strong travel partner for those coming to and from our region, and we welcome these new connections to two vibrant cities in our nation’s heartland.”

Southwest promoted its new seasonal route with Dallas noting that “Summer travelers can embark on journeys to cooler climates” to Providence, R.I. The airline also announced weekend service between Denver and Providence with both new seasonal routes scheduled to commence on June 8, 2024. In addition to the new Dallas and Denver routes, Southwest Airlines also provides service from PVD to the following destinations: Baltimore (BWI), Washington DC (DCA), Fort Lauderdale (FLL), Orlando (MCO), Chicago (MDW), Fort Myers (RSW) and Tampa (TPA).

This announcement of two new routes brings PVD’s total nonstop destinations to 33 and follows the recent news that, most recently, Rhode Island T. F. Green International Airport was named one of the Top Ten in the World by the Condé Nast Traveller Readers’ Choice Awards for 2023.
