WARWICK, RI – January 15, 2025 – Rhode Island T. F. Green International Airport (PVD) welcomed today’s announcement that starting on May 1, 2025, JetBlue Airways will begin providing daily service to John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK). Fares start at just $49 and are scheduled to depart PVD each day at 7:00 a.m. and arrive at JFK at 8:09 a.m. Flights return to PVD each evening, departing JFK at 10:20 p.m. and arriving at 11:31 p.m.
This expansion of service not only provides new national and international connections for the 7.5 million residents of PVD’s catchment area but also provides convenient access for visitors to Rhode Island from cities throughout the world, which now have easy, one-stop service to PVD via JFK. Rhode Island T. F. Green International Airport last had service to JFK in March 2009.
John F. Kennedy International Airport is the sixth busiest airport in the United States, with 62.8 million passengers traveling through the airport in the 12 months ending September 2024. JFK offers regular nonstop flights to 195 different cities across the globe in 80 different countries, all of which are now just a single stop away from Rhode Island.
Daily, year-round flights on JetBlue’s Airbus 320 with 162 seats will leave PVD every morning, allowing travelers to spend a full day in New York City or make global connections, with flights returning from JFK each evening. JetBlue flies to 31 countries from its dedicated Terminal 5 at JFK, including the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Mexico, Aruba, and the United Kingdom. JetBlue also continues to offer nonstop service from PVD to San Juan, PR, Orlando, Tampa, Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers, and West Palm Beach.
The longest nonstop flight from JFK is to Singapore, 9,487 miles away, with additional routes providing nonstop flights to destinations such as Hong Kong, New Zealand, the Middle East, and the Americas, as well as Alaska and Hawaii. All terminals at JFK, and the car rental center, are connected by the free “JFK AirTrain” for connections.
