SmarterTravel.com has named Green Airport (PVD) one of the most stress-free airports in America.

“If you’re traveling to New England, consider Providence’s T.F. Green Airport as a kinder, more pleasant alternative to Boston’s Logan,” writes Sarah Pascarella of SmarterTravel, “Green gets travelers through security quickly and on their way with minimal fuss.”

SmarterTravel.com cites airport amenities such as chair massages, manicures and pedicures and on-site restaurants. Comparing other airports to a visit to the dentist or DMV, T.F. Green was among 10 airports nationwide to be recognized for giving travelers an enjoyable travel experience.

“At T.F. Green Airport we focus on making the customer experience seamless from curb to gate. We appreciate the recognition as one of America’s 10 stress-free airports. It is particularly rewarding that we were the only airport in New England to be selected for this acknowledgement from SmarterTravel.com,” said Kevin Dillon, President & CEO, Rhode Island Airport Corporation.

Airport improvements are a constant at Green where flight information and baggage information technology has recently been upgraded and the terminal is in the process of adding free Wi-Fi to its list of amenities.

Green Airport has also been recognized by Travel + Leisure readers as one of America’s Best Airports for a second consecutive year.
