FRONTIER TO PROVIDE CANCÚN, MEXICO FLIGHTS AT PVD

Rhode Island T. F. Green International Airport (PVD) is pleased to welcome Frontier Airlines’ new non-stop service to Cancún, Mexico and Fort Lauderdale, FL. 

Starting February 19, 2022, Frontier Airlines will begin offering weekly service between PVD and Cancún, Mexico (CUN) marking the first regularly scheduled international service at Rhode Island T. F. Green International Airport since before the COVID-19 pandemic. Saturday departures and arrivals provide convenient leisure travel opportunities with flight times estimated at less than five hours.

Starting February 17, 2022, Frontier Airlines also began offering non-stop service from PVD to Fort Lauderdale, (FLL), three times a week, with flight frequency scheduled to increase to four times weekly effective April 27, 2022. 

The addition of Cancún brings the Rhode Island T. F. Green International Airport’s non-stop route count to 26, marking a 59% increase in non-stop routes along with a 57% increase in the number of airlines serving PVD since 2016. To provide guidance for air travelers, the U.S. Department of Transportation, Health and Human Services and other federal agencies have established http://www.flyhealthy.gov to provide an overview of what to expect at airports and on aircrafts. PVD Cares Kits including a face mask, hand sanitizer and disinfecting wipes remain available at the airport information desk and at all airline counters. Visitors to the airport are reminded that federal law requirement guidelines requiring face masks to be worn in airports and on the aircraft have been extended to March 18, 2022.
