BREEZE AIRWAYS ANNOUNCES DIRECT BREEZE-THRU SERVICE TO SAN DIEGO

Seasonal service to Savannah and Myrtle Beach also scheduled to start in February

Warwick, RI – January 16, 2024 – The Rhode Island Airport Corporation this week welcomed the announcement by Breeze Airways that it will offer direct/Breeze-thru seasonal service from Rhode Island T. F. Green International Airport (PVD) to San Diego International (SAN) beginning on April 30, 2024. Daily direct service to San Diego will depart in the mornings and return to PVD each evening.

This is the second California destination for PVD, with seasonal nonstop and direct service to Los Angeles (LAX) available seven days a week scheduled to return on May 1, 2024. In February, Breeze will also launch new, nonstop flights from PVD to Savannah (SAV) and Myrtle Beach (MYR). Both routes are offered twice a week, with service to Savannah (Wed/Sat) scheduled to begin on February 14, 2024, with service to Myrtle Beach (Thur/Sun) scheduled to start on February 15, 2024. Supplemental Saturday service for Myrtle Beach will also be offered during February and April school vacation weeks.

PVD now offers 33 nonstop destinations including 15 nonstop routes offered by Breeze Airways and follows the recent news that Rhode Island T. F. Green International Airport was named one of the Top Ten in the World by the Condé Nast Traveller Readers’ Choice Awards for 2023. PVD is also again in the running for the best domestic airport in Travel + Leisure (T+L) 2024 World’s Best Awards survey, which runs through February 26, 2024.
