Aviation Education Expo

On Wednesday, October 28, 2009, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the Rhode Island Airport Corporation (RIAC), together with representatives of airlines, institutes of higher education and aviation professionals will hold the 5 annual Aviation Education Expo.

More than one thousand middle and high school students from across RI and neighboring MA and CT will participate in the Aviation Education Expo designed to expose students to career opportunities in the broad field of aviation.

Students will have the opportunity to experience hands-on activities such as flight simulators. Industry representatives will be on hand to speak about career opportunities.

Presenters include Bridgewater State College, Cape Air, Cindtronix Aviation, Connecticut Air National Guard, Daniel Webster College, Dowling College, Experimental Aircraft Association, Federal Aviation Administration, FedEx, Florida Institute of Technology, Gilbane Building Company, HMS Host, Horizon Aviation, Johnston & Wales University, National Weather Service, New England Institute of Technology, PB Americas, The Paradies Shops, Pratt & Whitney, Quonset Point Air Museum, Rhode Island Airport Corporation, RI Air National Guard, RI Army National Guard, RI Civil Air Patrol, RI Pilot’s Association, Southwest Airlines, Transportation Security Administration, United Airlines, US Air Force, US Coast Guard.

Wednesday, October 29, 2009, 9:00am to 12:30pm at Horizon Aviation, 544 Airport Road, Warwick, RI.
